Creating a VCD - 11/22/2004 10:33:48 PM    pezz007   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/22/2004 Status: offline How do I create a VCD of my Scrapbook pages. I have created a 23 page Scrapbook that Iwould like to make into a VCD, I cannot find anywhere in the Help area where this is described. I have tried all the intuitive approaches I can think of but there does not appear to be any menu that addresses this. In Help, search on "slide show". I know that some people's DVD players can play a slide show given a disk of JPGs, in which case you could export your scrapbook pages as JPGs and burn them all onto a CD. Even WinXP can do a simple slide show just with a collection of JPGs. RE: Creating a VCD - 11/23/2004 7:26:48 PM    pezz007   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/22/2004 Status: offline Thank you very much for the reply - I did find that in the Help, but I do not know how to get the scrapbook pages (can I save all 23 pages together and import them all together into the slideshow) into the slideshow all at once. I do not seem to be able to drag and drop them in - do I have to save each page individually as a .jpeg and then import them into the slideshow one by one - that seems like a lot of effort and time. It says on the package "you can do it easily", that is you can make a VCD easily. I just want a slide show type of VCD that will show slide after slide of my scrapbook pages that I have now created, on the TV. I have created other photo VCDs using Roxio CD creator and it works great but I don't know how to get the scrapbook pages into a jpeg format without having to save each and every page individually. I just tried to make a slide show in Creating Keepsakes, and like yourself, hoping I could just click on my project thumbnails in the project gallery to magically create the slides. Wouldn't that be too good to be true? Unfortunately, it's just not that fast and simple. It's not at all complicated, but it does seem to require some work. Yes, I do believe we have to save (export) each project individually as JPGs. Save them all into one folder so that later on, it will be a simple task to open that folder and burn the contents onto a CD with your Roxio program. Saving as JPGs really doesn't take that long. You'll get all of them done in a FRACTION of the time it took to create one scrapbook page in the first place. Tip: If you know the pixel width and height of your TV screen, you may want to save your scrapbook pages with those parameters in mind so the slide fills the screen.
