Hi. I am the editor for the Youth Newsletter on my student council. I'm using the Print Shop 23 Deluxe and it's great! I just have one problem. I need to get a calendar onto the newsletter, but I can't figure out how to get it on there. I've created numerous calendars, including the Calendar Creator, but I don't know how to get it from the Calendar Creator to my newsletter. I've tried many different ways, but to no avail. Please help me as soon as possible.

Hi Brigette Anne,

I am very sorry to have to tell you this, but if you are using the Calendar Creator Express program that is bundled with Print Shop 23 Deluxe, it is not easy to get a calendar from Calendar Creator Express to a Print Shop 23 newsletter - because Calendar Creator Express does not have an export option that will allow you to export to a graphic file format. So, your only option would probably be to print the calendar from Calendar Creator, scan the calendar, save the calendar in a graphic file format such as .jpg, open your Print Shop 23 newsletter, then import that .jpg into the newsletter.

However, if you were to create a Print Shop 23 calendar project, you could export the Print Shop Calendar project then import it into the Print Shop Newsletter project - just like you would import any graphic image into any Print Shop project.

To export a Print Shop Calendar project, you will need to first click on any item on the page to select it - because, if nothing is selected on the page, the Export As option might be grayed out.

But, after selecting an item on the Print Shop Calendar project, you would click on 'File' in the menubar then click on 'Export As' in the menu that drops down.

When the Export As window opens, you would click in the circle next to 'Save All Objects'. Then, you would select the desired settings for the export.

Then, after the Calendar project is exported, you would open the Newsletter project and import the exported Calendar project.

Will you be printing this newsletter, or is it strictly for web/e-mail?

If it is for printing, print the calendar project separately from the newsletter project. Then insert the calendar page after the appropriate newsletter page. Take the finished document to a copy shop for inexpensive copying (or the copy shop can "copy" to a PDF format instead of paper and the PDF is ready for e-mailing.)

This will give you a better quality print because creating an image of the calendar and importing that image to your newsletter results in a blurry looking calendar (although maybe not significant enough for your purposes).
