If you receive the "Failed to open document" error message 1) while attempting to open a Calendar Creator project from the 'Recent Calendars' list or 2) after selecting 'File' in the Calendar Creator menu bar, then selecting the file name from the list of names at the bottom of the menu that drops down that error message is telling you that the *.bcc file you are trying to open is no longer in the same folder in which it was originally saved. When that happens, it will be necessary for you to 1) click on the 'Browse' button in the 'Recent Calendars' list 2) navigate to the location of the *.bcc file 3) click once on the *.bcc file 4) click on the 'Open' button. It is very important to keep in mind that when Calendar Creator *.bcc files are saved, the location of the folder in which the file is saved is stored. If the file is moved to another folder, the location of the folder in which the file was originally saved is not changed. So, when you attempt to open the same file, Calendar Creator will try to open the *.bcc file from the same folder in which it was saved. When the file is not found, the "Failed to open document" error message will be generated. If a Calendar Creator *.bcc file is saved on an external hard drive or on other removable media - which is not always accessible - the "Failed to open document" error message will be generated if that external media is not accessible.
