 Any time a corrupted installation is suspected, a clean reinstall after a computer cleanup will not remove all corruption - primarily because a standard uninstall of many Broderbund/Encore programs will leave orphaned files and invalid registry entries behind.  And, even though a computer cleanup will remove many invalid registry entries, a computer cleanup will not remove either the orphaned files or the registry entries which reference those orphaned files.
 
 So, the recommended solution for dealing with a corrupt installation is to click on the link below

 then follow the directions in that FAQ for performing a 1) thorough uninstall, 2) computer cleanup and 3) 'clean' reinstall.
