Why dosen't the printer take the photo paper from the photo tray? The printer is all set to do so and the Printmaster Gold does not work right. I have tried everything to print a 4X6 photo and nothing works.

Have you checked the printer icon at the bottom right to see if something was wrong? Tried rebooting the computer and then try it again?

PrintMaster Gold? You are in the PrintMaster 2012 forum. Advice for PrintMaster 2012 may not be relevant for PrintMaster Gold. What version are you using? 16, 17, 18?

Does your printer take paper from the photo tray when you use other programs or are you saying that this problem happens ONLY in PrintMaster?

If it only happens in PrintMaster, then unfortunately, that means your HP printer is incompatible with your version of PrintMaster. The workaround is to convert your project to PDF and print the PDF from Adobe Reader. If your printer still won't take paper from the photo tray, then you know it's not a PrintMaster problem.

I suggested to the user to export to a JPG and it fixed their problem
(user emailed me) :)

Glad that's working for him. Unless he was adding text and graphics to an existing JPG from his camera, it's better to print the JPG using HP's 4x6 photo printing wizard. It's so automatic - like uploading JPGs from your camera to an online photo lab.

Never knew that, I always save all my projects to JPG or PDF and go to Office Max or Staples and print out my work :)
