I have used PM for many years and regularly print large posters from 'signs'. The option to enlarge the sign from one sheet to a poster (3x6=9 sheets of paper) no longer appears to exist.

This is the information I pulled from the Help:

Size of Image Area

These options allow you to quickly choose a specific print size.

  • Click on an option in the Standard Sizes drop-down menu to select a print size.
  • Click on the Custom Size option to specify a size that is not available from the Standard Sizes. Select the number in the Width or Height field and type in a new value (the ″ character is required). Alternately, click on the up/down arrows next to the numbers to change them by small increments.
  • The Crop image to fit area option will ensure that the entire area you specify (e.g. 5”x7”) is filled, even if this means trimming two sides of the page. Refer to the print preview area on the right side of the screen to see the effect this option will have on your project pages.
  • Click on Span multiple pages as needed to print very large projects (such as banners) to multiple sheets of paper (typically standard 8.5x11 paper). After printing, you can attach the sheets of paper together.

If these instructions don't help, please post back. I have an alternative workaround method.

I have sent you an email regarding the print options.

Did not work--putting the quotation mark " before or after the size required did not work. There is no 'span' option available. I am in a real crunch--I had no idea this new version of PM would no longer allow posters and my new computer does not allow me to install the older version. HELP!

Here is my workaround: Export your project as PDF. (File>Export... or Share Project>Export...)

Then open the PDF in Adobe Reader where you can select the print option "poster". Type in your Tile Scale and Overlap to set the number of sheets that your project will print on.

Encore can provide you with a Win 7 version that prints posters on multiple sheets of paper. Please check for my email to you. It may have gone to spam folder.
