Thank you ellengard. I now can have a plain white background when I do cards. No, I forgot to disable the anti virus. I'll delete the program and reinstall.

You can reply to a post, like I am doing, rather than start a new thread each time. Otherwise you'd have to go searching all new threads where the post doesn't make sense just on its own, without seeing the whole conversation.

Although you wrote printmaster 17 as the subject, you aren't talking about version 17, right? Version 17 and version 7.0 work very differently.

No, I am talking about printmaster version 7. there is a black border when I ope a design tool, it blocks vision and I don't know how to get rid of it. I'm attaching a picture. I'm at wits end. I did delete printmaster and then reinstalled it after disabling antivirus

I can see your desktop behind the PrintMaster program. Perhaps if you maximize the program's window, you'll be able to see the entire thing.

I maximized it but the black border is still there. It goes away when I show the complete list of design tools, but comes back when I click on one and select an action. The program works okay as far as I can see, but as I said, the border covers some of the actions I can take.

On my program, there is no obstruction. Your program is not working as it should. You will need to submit a tech support ticket here:
