For some pre-designed 4-to-the-page Postcard projects, the two postcards that come out of the printer last will not print completely. Instead, some of the graphics and text for those two postcards will be cut off, as can be seen here

This problem is caused by the fact that some Broderbund Postcard layouts were incorrectly designed to extend into a printer's unprintable margin area. Most Broderbund programs will correctly read the unprintable margin areas for the selected printer. The program will then set the margins for the project and position the project so that it does not overlap into the unprintable margin areas. But, that doesn't always work for Postcard projects. If/when a Postcard project extends into the printer's unprintable margin area, some of the text and graphics will be cut off.

There are five commonly recommended methods for working around this problem:

1. Move the text and graphics farther away from the edge of the postcard - making sure than no text or graphics is placed between the dotted line margin and the edge of the paper.

2. Go into the printer's Properties and look for a margin option that would force the printer to reduce the unprintable margin area to the smallest size the printer would allow. This would be done by looking for an option titled something like Printable Area, Minimize Margins, Borderfree, Borderless, etc., then activating that option.

3. Create a Blank Page, Poster or double-sided Newsletter project, place guide lines on the page (click on the ruler to create a guide line) to divide the page into four equal parts, design one postcard, use the Select All, Copy and Group options to Group and Copy the one postcard. Then, use the Paste option to Paste the grouped postcard 3 more times on the page.

4. Print only the first two postcards. Then, reinsert the card stock upside-down, then print only the first two postcards again.

5. Use either the Save as PDF option or just Print to PDF to save the project as a PDF file, as is described in this pinned item

Save as PDF vs File | Print to PDF
