Problem

Script Error Handler not defined or Macromedia Director Player Error

Solution

Try changing the color settings in display settings to High colors 16 bit

For Windows 2000/XP
- Right click on desktop (not on an icon)
- Select properties
- Select the settings tab
- Change colors to High Color (16 bit) (pulldown button above the rainbow)
- Move the screen area (Screen Resolution on WinXP) slider bar util it reads 800 X 600
- Click on the OK button
- Try program again

For Windows 98 and Windows ME
- Right click on desktop (not on an icon)
- Select properties
- Select the settings tab
- Change colors to High Color (16 bit) (pulldown button above the rainbow)
- Move the screen area slider bar until it reads 800 X 600
- Click on the OK button
- Try program again

For Windows 95
- Click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL.
- Click on DISPLAY
- Click on SETTINGS on the top right
- You will need to change the Display area to 800 x 600 High colors 16 bit
- Click Apply
- Click OK
- Now you can install and run the Program

Uninstalling Software: Thoroughly & Safely

then follow the directions in that FAQ for thoroughly uninstalling the program which generated the Director Player error message

2. Click on this link

Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7

then follow the directions in that FAQ for performing a computer cleanup

3. Click on this link

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

then follow the directions in that FAQ for reinstalling the program which generated the Director Player error message

4. Go to this web site

Microsoft DirectX

5. Download and install the latest version of DirectX

PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THIS LAST STEP
