Problem When attempting to run the spell checker, the error "Unable to initialize spell-checker" appears.

Solution This issue is linked to a file that on some systems is corrupted during the installation.

Complete the steps below to delete the Spell Check file and run the Repair.

Delete the Pretzelspellcheck.dll File

Conduct a search of the hard drive for this file

pretzelspellcheck.dll

When that file is found, delete it.

If the file is not found, proceed with Run the Repair below.

Run the Repair

1a. For WinXP, go to Control Panel, then select 'Add/Remove Programs'

1b. For WinVista or Windows 7, go to Control Panel, then select 'Programs and Features'

2. Click on PrintMaster in the list of installed programs.

3. Click the "Change" button.

4. Select the "Repair" option.

After the repair is complete, the PrintMaster will open properly and the spell checker should work as expected.
