On a 64-bit version of Windows the following message will be displayed every time Calendar Creator launches.
"Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes on this computer?"
Since that message is being generated by the User Account Control*, there are only 2 known methods for eliminating that message.
1. Click on the 'Change when these notifications appear' link at the bottom of the "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes on this computer?" window. Then, when the User Account Control Settings window opens, reduce the sensitivity of User Account Control.
2. Go to Control Panel, select User Accounts, select 'Change User Account Control Settings', then reduce the sensitivity of User Account Control on the User Account Control Settings window.
*NOTE: User Account Control (UAC) is a feature in Windows that can help prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. UAC does this by asking you for permission or an administrator password before performing actions that could potentially affect your computer's operation or that change settings that affect other users. When you see a UAC message, read it carefully, and then make sure the name of the action or program that's about to start is one that you intended to start.
If the program has an unknown publisher, it doesn't have a valid digital signature from its publisher. This doesn't necessarily mean the program is harmful—many older, legitimate programs lack signatures. However, you should use extra caution and allow a program to run only if you obtained it from a trusted source, such as the original CD or a publisher's website. If you’re unsure, look up the name of the program on the Internet to determine if it’s a known program or malicious software.
The primary reason why Calendar Creator has an unknown publisher is that Calendar Creator 12 1) was originally released in 2005 [which was 2 years before Windows Vista was released to the general public] and 2) was designed for only 32-bit Operating Systems.
