Hi fredb38, The first point that I should make is that on a Year view, a picture can be placed on only the first page. So, if your Year view has more than one page, only the first page will have a picture. It is not possible to make the list down the center of the page transparent. However, it is possible to change the text to white. And, it is possible to make the background of the text box in the center of the page transparent, doing this: 1. Right click on the text in the center of the page NOTE: If your Year view has more than one page, you MUST right click on the first page - because right clicking on any other page will accomplish nothing. 2. When the menu drops down, click on 'Properties'. 3. When the 'Layout Object Properties' window opens, click on the down arrow next to the 'Set Properties of' box, then select 'Event' in the list that drops down. 4. Click on the down arrow next to the 'Shading' box in the 'Background' section. 5. When the list drops down, scroll to the top of the list then select 'None'. 6. Click on the down arrow next to the 'Set Properties of' box, then select 'Month' in the list that drops down. 7. Click on the down arrow next to the 'Shading' box in the 'Background' section. 8. When the list drops down, scroll to the top of the list then select 'None'. 9. Click on the down arrow next to the 'Set Properties of' box, then select 'Day' in the list that drops down. 10. Click on the down arrow next to the 'Shading' box in the 'Background' section. 11. When the list drops down, scroll to the top of the list then select 'None'. 12. Click on 'OK' at the bottom of the window. You will see that the box around the text is now all transparent. However, the boxes around the calendar are not transparent. So, unless the picture you selected is only behind the text box, the calendars will also block the picture. To cause the background of the calendars to also be transparent, you would have to do this. 1. Right click on a calendar on the first page of the Year view. 2. When the menu drops down, click on 'Properties'. 3. Click on the down arrow next to the 'Shading' box in the 'Background' section. 4. When the list drops down, scroll to the top of the list then select 'None'.
