Help! We write a monthly newsletter for our home building company. I created a 17 x 11 project layout in Printshop so that when it is printed it will fold over and be 4 pages of 8 1/2 x 11. The problem is, when I go to print, it says that the printer does not recognize this 17 x 11 size of paper. Is there anyway I can rotate the layout in Printshop so it will print and my printer will recognize it as a 11x 17 instead? I have tried everything I can from the laser printer conversion side of things, and now realize the problem lies withing Printshop.

We have been just converting it to a pdf to print, but it leaves lines with such heavy graphics. JPEG format takes two minutes to print per copy and we print 540 of these pages! I am hoping someone may have a simple solution within Printshop?

Thanks so much for your help!

Kindly,
Heidi

Hi Heidi,

The most important point to keep in mind about Print Shop 2.0 is that "Print Shop 2.0 will override any orientation and paper size settings set by the user in the printer control panel. Orientation and paper size settings are strictly determined by the project file being sent to the printer."

So, what that means is that the desired Paper Size for the Print Shop 2.0 project must be selected in the Paper Size box of the Project tab on the left side of the PS 2.0 workspace.

I was able to accomplish a folded, double-sided project by starting a "Tabloid/Sign/Double-Sided Landscape". Then when I went to print, I chose "Tabloid".

Is your project info similar?

You are very welcome, Heidi. As long as I remember the order of my pages for the "outside" and "inside" of folded project, it always prints correctly.
