Hi Laura, The first thing I should mention is that those of us who help on this user-to-user forum are volunteers only, who are neither employed by nor connected with either Customer Service or Technical Support. However, if you will click on the link below http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=42638&mpage=1&key=Ꚏ you will see in that "Error: Disconnected Activation" FAQ that users who purchased downloads prior to January 1, 2011, will encounter the 'Disconnected Activation' error message, which is an issue with a copy protection technology that has been discontinued. Even though it appears that the error message you encountered is not the 'Disconnected Activation' error message, you will need to follow the directions in that "Error: Disconnected Activation" FAQ for submitting an Online Order Support Request to Technical Support. However, before you submit the Online Order Support Request you will need to know the Order Number for your download purchase of Hoyle Card Games 2008 on 6/1/2010.
