I used Printshop 23.1 Pro last year to do mail merge address labels. Since then had to replace my PC, stil have Window 7 Professional as operating system and still using PS 23.1 Pro. However, now I can not set up the mail merge fields on my labels. On the drop down Test options; the mail merge options is not dark as a option, and when I try to select it - nothing happens. Trying to get out Christmas cards HELP!

Did you copy your Address Book to the new computer?
Also, did you double-click inside your text box, to get the blinking cursor? This needs to be done in order to activate the Insert Address Merge Field

Hi ellengard,

I have the program disc, so when I got the newPC I loaded it.

I saved my address book on a disc last year so I was able to copy it to the new Documents file, and also the address labels. Oddly enough I was able to set up the print for the labels and got them printed, but the mail merge option still was not and option on the drop down text box. Last year I set up the labels and printed them just fine. Still not sure why the difference this year. My PC is powerful enough to handle it - I do alot photos & slideshow (not using Printshop - Adobe & Pinmnacle.) Thanks for the interest.

If your labels print with the info from the Address Book, there is no problem, is there?

I had an older version of Print shop and now I have 23.1. I can't remember how to use the mail merge. I inserted the first and last name of which is all I need but I don't remember how to bring the names in to the merge and where to get them from.
Please help. I'm under some pressure to finish the project.
Thanks in advance.
