I recently purchased a HP Office Pro 8600 Plus printer. When I wanted to print my calendar, I got a message stating that the program has not found current paper stock that is supported by the printer. I am using plain paper. Could this be because of the age differences in the program and printer? If this is so and I buy an updated version of Calendar Creator, will the problem be solved? Also, with a newer program will I be able to use old files on newer calendars?

I tested my printer and it works fine in Word and other programs.

Hello, mompeach1,

I would expect the paper stock to be controlled by the Windows printer driver. Do you not get a usual printer dialogue when you try to print from Calendar Creator, where you make the usual selections of paper stock, size, etc., from a drop-down properties window?

There are issues with Calendar Creator and multi-function (all-in-one) printers, if your HP happens to be one of those:

You might mention what version of Windows you're using, though I'm not sure that will make a difference.

I'm also not sure that a newer version of Calendar Creator will solve this issue, but if you do consider a newer version, it should open the CC7 .bcc files. See this pinned message for compatibility:

I'd advise you to copy all your .bcc files to a backup before doing a new installation.

I'll suggest this as a workaround: Install the free CutePDF or a similar pdf file creator, and print your calendar to pdf. You should then have no trouble printing the pdf file to your printer.

David,

I followed your advice to download the CutePDF file. It works like a charm and now I can print my calendar. Thank you.

Hi, mompeach1,

I'm glad that worked for you.

If you plan on printing regularly, please review the link that CrystalE provided. It may also be something to keep in mind if you have printing issues from other programs.
