Hi have been a printshop user for MANY years for usage in my Health Food Store business. I recently purchased 3.5 proffessional and am trying to find my way around in it. One of my biggest questions is when I have several objects and/or text boxes in a project is there and easy way to "select all" so I can group them together without having to hold down the ctrl key while I click on each one?

ALSO is there a way to set the spooling so it does not take SO LONG to print?

Ctrl-a will select all or you can click and drag from top corner to bottom corner to grab everything.

Best way to reduce spooling time: Export the project as best quality JPG. Then print the JPG. Because a single JPG is only one graphic vs many graphics on many layers, printing the JPG simplifies the process a lot.

I saved as Jpeg as you suggested but still find the printing response to be painfully slow. Any other options to try? My Printshop 23 Deluxe has been my program for the past several years and it for sure prints faster from there THANKING you in ADVANCE

What program are you using to print the JPG? It doesn't have to be PS3.5. Try Windows print wizard?

hmm never heard of that...I'm not sure how well that would work for me since I make ALL my food lables and ALL my sales and signs etc which amounts to A LOT of files and it seems that it would be faster to just print from Printshop? Not sure. I thought there might be a setting for the spooling. THANKS so much for your time and help!!

The more items in your project, the longer the spooling time. I would guess that printing the JPG from Windows print wizard may spool for 30 seconds. May be a huge time saver that way.

You're welcome! To print from Windows:

Right-click the JPG filename, choose Print. Select options.

YAY! The other week, a customer gave me a PhotoShop file to print and it spooled for 70 minutes! As an experiment, I converted it to high resolution JPG and printed from Windows. It took ONE minute. I compared the prints and they were both excellent quality.

Hi Ellen it is me again...a few days ago you showed me how to select more than one object easily. I can get that to work nicely BUT when I want to group them the options for group are grayed out and not available. Am I doing something wrong????

There's nothing special to do. Just select all, right-click, choose Group. (or choose Group in the Home tab.)

If that doesn't work, I have no explanation except a possible incompatibility issue. I am using Pro version on Win7. How about you?
