I have Calendar Creator Deluxe 12.1. I am using a calendar with 2 pages for one month. As I go from one month to another, text, pictures, margins, etc. change on each month so when I want to go back into the calendar and make a change in one of the months I have to realign everything before I print the page. Is there any way to save a calendar so it doesn't change? Thanks.

I'm not sure I fully understand, and an't seem to duplicate the problem as I think it's being described, so here are questions:

Are the events changing when you move from month to month, and the correct events show on the correct months?
Are you using text boxes?
Are the images associated with events, or are the pictures in the header?

David:

The events change with the months like they are supposed to. I am using text boxes and images.
The calendar is on two pages. For example: If I save while I'm in April, April will be fine when I open the calendar up but the other months will be out of ne. The two separate pages' alignment don't line up. Also, the text and pictures in the cells are partially in another cell since the outline of the calendar is no longer in alignment. Thanks for your help.

Please ignore the last sentence, David. It was duplicated.

Text and pictures that are added to a date via the Add Event dialog box, will stay put, even when changing views.

I did a test of a 1 month on 2 pages calendar, added a text box and image, and both stayed only on the month where I added them as I navigated forward or backward.

Can you describe how you set up the the 2 pages layout? Did you use Page Setup, Layout tab, Pages per Calendar, with 2 across and 1 down?

What kind of printer do you have? We know that Calendar Creator doesn't like many all-in-one printers. It could be that you'll want to print to PDF (using CutePDF or other pdf printer), and see if the calendar looks correct that way.

When a calendar is created and you choose View> Month on 2 pages, text boxes and pictures will not overlap both pages. It would seem that you have created your 2 page calendar some other way?

I see now that there are different ways to approach the month on 2 pages. ellengard's images shows what lady must be seeing. I approached it using the technique in my previous post, via Page Setup. The result does not display the split during editing, but only during Print Preview (as shown in the image) and printing.

Hi, David,

This method keeps the date cells aligned and allows text boxes and images to overlap both pages when printed. A picture that in placed on Wednesday will overlap on the printed pages and this makes perfect sense. When the two sides are joined, the picture looks "whole".

I suspect problems occur when one creates a calendar this way and also uses the View> Month on 2 pages. I tried doing both at once and it got messed up. So I would advise doing one or the other, but not both at the same time.

I agree, ellengard, I wouldn't attempt to use both methods to print a month on two pages. I must have removed the calendar "View" for month on 2 pages, since it no longer appears in the selection choices for my daily-use calendar. Users who want that kind of printed calendar should try both, and use the print result that works best for them. With luck, this option will solve the problem lady had.

Ellengard,

I'm sorry I'm so bad at describing my problem. The attachment you posted looks like my problem. It shows how the cells don't line up and that is what mine is doing. I've been wondering if there is some way to keep it from moving so each side lines up.

Thanks so much for everyone's help.

David:

I've had this calendar for awhile so I just change the year and start over editing the months. To get the month on two pages I choose from the drop-down arrow.

I have an HP all-in-one wireless printer but the pages print correctly.

Thanks.

This was helpful. I didn't know about adding a date to them.

Thank you.

I think what ellengard and I are both suggesting is that you not use the month on 2 pages from the drop-down View choice, but instead use the plain Month view. then use the Page Setup options described earlier for getting the two-page layout: Page Setup, Layout tab, Pages per Calendar, with 2 across and 1 down. That should allow you to have everything aligned properly on the printout, although you will not see it in that mode while you are editing.

Also, there is no need to change a year when you are preparing to print or save calendars. Keep in mind that Calendar Creator is a perpetual calendar, meaning that you are not editing a specific year or even a specific month when you are looking at the calendar. You specify the date range using the Print dialogue when you're ready to print. If you have events that are supposed to appear at the same time every year, you can use the options for making an event a repeating event. We can help you here or direct you to more specific instructions if you need them.
