CUTiger -> Bullet List displays letters instead of bullets! (4/3/2008 7:14:50 PM)

When I try to create a bullet list inside a text box, the bullets display in the text box as alphabetic characters. For example, if the bullet I choose is the darkened circle, the bullet appears on the screen as a lowercase letter "k". A diamond bullet displays as a "\". A square bullet displays the lowercase "e". This makes no sense. I've searched the tech support site, and I have updated my video driver. It seems like every other part of the program works except for the bullet list, but I really need it to work correctly. I upgraded from Version 16 (which I NEVER had any problems with, coincidentally!). Every other part of the program seems to be working normally, but not the bullet list! This is driving me crazy! Help!

Hi CITiger,

I'm using both PM 17 and PM 18. And, in both programs, the bullets work perfectly for me. So, it is very possible that your problem is being caused by an installation problem. And, if that's the case, it would be a very good idea to do a thorough uninstall, as described in this FAQ

Uninstalling Software: Thoroughly & Safely

followed by a computer cleanup, as described in this FAQ

Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7

followed by a 'clean' install, as described in this FAQ

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

Brandy, I can't thank you enough for your advice. I did everything you recommended except to run the registry cleaner and the check disk and now the bullet function works great! One of the Encore support people suggested I reinstall the program which I admit I did before I tried your recommendations, and I still I had the same problem. I don't know which step actually solved my problem from your list, but it worked... and that's what counts!
