Hi cstahura, The fact that Hoyle Casino Games 2008 worked for about a year, but does not do so now, would indicate that something on your computer has changed. One fairly common cause of software suddenly failing to start is a software update - such as an update for an Operating System. Unfortunately, however, some updates can cause the software to be made incompatible with the computer. And, in those cases, the only workable solution would be to identify and then uninstall the update. Or, if you recently installed the Hoyle Casino 2008 patch but installed the wrong patch (there is one patch for the DVD version, one patch for downloads purchased from encore.com and one patch for downloads purchased from hoylegaming.com) that might have caused the problem. Or, if you have not yet downloaded and installed the appropriate patch, which can be found here Hoyle Casino 2008 Support that also might be what caused the problem. If you are not aware of any specific updates that were made to your Vista computer, it might be a good idea for you to perform a thorough uninstall of Hoyle Casino 2008, a computer cleanup (to make sure your computer is in tip-top shape), and a 'clean' reinstall, exactly as described below. Then, after the 'clean' reinstall, install the appropriate patch. A. Click on this link Uninstalling Software: Thoroughly & Safely and follow the directions in that FAQ B. Click on this link Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7 and follow the directions in that FAQ C. Click on this link 'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista and follow the directions in that FAQ If the problem still exists, click on this link Updating Video Card Driver: 2000/XP/Vista/7/Mac OS X 10.4.0 and later then follow the directions for updating your video card driver.
