Brandy redux -> Hoyle Casino 3D: D3D9.DLL error message (1/12/2011 2:31:25 PM)

Problem
When attempting to run Hoyle Casino 3D for the first time, the following error is displayed:
This application has failed to start because D3D9.DLL was not found
Solution
This error occurs only if you are running DirectX 8.1 or lower on your system. Hoyle Casino 3D requires DirectX 9.0 or later to operate properly. If you don't have direct x 9.0, please click on the link below
DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer
to download and install the latest version of DirectX.
