waymangoodhope -> shading multiple boxes at one time (5/24/2011 12:32:16 PM)

I have CC 12.1 deluxe.

I would like to make a multi-week calendar with alternating months shaded grey. I am able to shade one day at a time but i would like to shade a whole month. is there a way to do this? i tried inserting a shape and putting it in the background but the text would not show up

Hi waymangoodhope,

To shade an entire month, you would do this:

1. Right click on an empty day cell, then select 'Properties' from the menu that drops down.

2. When the 'Layout Object Properties' window opens, click on the down arrow next to the 'Set Properties of' box, then select 'Cell' in the list that drops down.

3. Select the desired shading options, then click on 'OK' to return to the calendar.

It is very important, however, to keep in mind that when you make a change to one month, that change is automatically applied to all months. So, it is not possible to shade alternating months.
