LarryB -> PM 11 and Windows 7 64-bit (4/27/2014 10:53:07 PM)

Just got a new computer and I think that all is well, so far. Will this continue in light of the 64-bit operating system?

Also, I now that my PM7 will not install on it but can I add the projects from PM7 to PM 11 and have them work? I have always included the artwork in the projects when saved.

Thanks for the advice on ancient software.

Even though PM11 is not supported on Win7, if it's working for you, carry on[:)]

It is true that PM 11 is not supported on Win7. But, according to this post

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=39784

it should be possible to successfully install PM 11 on any 64-bit version of Windows 7.

And, surprisingly enough, it is possible to successfully install PM 11 on even a 64-bit version of Win 8.1 - most likely, I suspect, because PM 11 is not designed to use .NET Framework 1.1, which is programmed into some newer versions of PrintMaster and which won't allow those versions to be easily installed on Windows 8.1.

On the downside, the problems listed in the previously mentioned post and in the 2nd message in this post

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=40512

regarding the More Art & Photos tab on the Art Gallery will apply for PM 11 on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Hi, THANKS!!!

Do you have a ready-to-go primer on importing PM7 projects into PM11?

All is not lost!!!
