Many thanks your information worked like a dream BUT, now the design on the card comes out sideways!!! Any ideas please!

Please specify what you are referring to. I gave you two distinctly different methods. You did not reply as to the custom size paper you are using since there is no standard size paper that will give a side fold horizontal card. A "horizontal" card means "sideways", doesn't it?
