tunderhill@cox.net -> Windows 19 and PS 21 (7/12/2016 4:06:49 PM)

Two weeks ago Windows 10 auto installed on my computer and now my PS 21 won’t open. I have tons of projects saved from the past twenty years. I was always able to save my projects when I upgraded. Years ago I did purchase ps 23 and it wouldn't install so I got rid of it and continued using 21. I have tried everything suggested on line. When I click on the desktop shortcut to The Printshop 21 it asks for the disk and then I get a "Fatal error during installation" I read that even if I buy the latest version I won't be able to recover my files from ps 21. Please Help!
Thanks in advance for your time.
Terri

I jumped through hoops to prevent Win 10 from installing on my computer[:'(] Unfortunately, Win 10 won't run PS 21. You CAN recover old PS 21 projects in PS 4.0.

but the conversion may not be perfect. This post explains what happens when you open a v21, 22, 23 project in 4.0:

Your only other alternative is to find a Win7 or older computer and install v21 on that. Then begins the task of exporting all your projects as high-res JPG as demonstrated in this blog article:

Just thought of another option. You can rollback to your previous operating system. You'll have to look up the procedure from Microsoft. I was really ****** at how aggressively they pushed Win 10 on us. I can't even remember how I managed to prevent it because I looked up so many articles for advice and tried many things.
