This is what the Encore Knowledgebase says about Transparent backgrounds:
Photo Clip Art by Hemera doesn't support transparent backgrounds, but our Photo-Objects image collections do. Here is the difference between the two types of images:
Photo-Objects images are pre-masked photo images with transparency and their own alpha channel - the tools creative professionals often rely on to enhance their designs. They also have a high enough resolution so professionals can use them in commercial print projects. Photo Clip Art images, by contrast, are for everyday use by people who are looking for quick visual impact but who don't need images with transparency.
To make the background of your Photo Clip Art image appear transparent, just match the background color of your image to the background color in your project. To do so, please follow the instructions below, or see your User Guide for more information.
1.Open Export Wizard or Export Assistant by double-clicking on the thumbnail of your choice.
2.When you get to the What is the background color of your page window, click on the Pick Color button.
3.An eyedropper icon will appear. Use the eyedropper to click on your desired color - you can click on any color in the image or in your project, and the image's background will change to match that color exactly.
