Hi Tilou,

We only know that the game will not launch if you have a USB Gamepad installed in your PC.

So, if you have a USB Gamepad, you might want to try unplugging it before you attempt to run Maximum Pool.

I have also encountered a problem with Maximum Pool, in as much as it won't launch. I started with the 2005 version running WindowsXP and it ran fine. When I upgraded to Vista the program would not run. I purchased Hoyle Games 2008 which listed Vista on the box, and it still will not run.

Windows Vista
ATI Radeon x1050 Video / Driver Ver 8.241.0.0
SB Live!-24 / Driver Ver 5.12.1.2004
Viewsonic VX2235wm Monitor
NO USB CONTROLLERS INSTALLED

Any suggestions/ideas/patches would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have finally determined that there is a problem between Maximum Pool and the Video Card/Monitor. When I have the screen set to 1680x1050 the program will not run. When I set the display to 1024x768, the program will run, but it is stretched. Since every other application that I have run adjusts to the wide screen, I suspect that Maximum Pool is the culprit. I will have to play with various video settings to see if I can find a compromise until the program can be "fixed".

Thanks for the suggestions
