I ran my webiste index pages thru an html validator and it gave me a few lines of code to add so that search engine crawlers would be able to read my site. When I add the reccommended lines of code and then save; Notepad won't save the changes. Any suggestions?

That's because you have to open your html file with NotePad, add your changes, then save and close. Now this is the updated file you must upload to your server. You must do this every time you regenerate your files with Print Shop because these changes are made outside of the Print Shop program.

I noticed that at one point you did have your website name in the TITLE tags and some extra code in the META tags, but now it's gone. Don't forget that each time you publish, your HTML files are overwritten without your extra code so you have to add it back in again.

In a more recent thread, another person also asked about adding in extra code. You may find that posting helpful:

Adding HTML for ads and page centering

Some tips for your website:

  • Use descriptive page titles to distinguish between your pages, rather than non-descriptive page numbers.
  • Remove "turn page" links. Instead, add a navigation bar to every page. See my example. If the only way to get to page 5 is by hitting a "turn page" link 5 times, it's going to frustrate your visitors.
  • Tighten up your layout to enhance visual flow. Visual flow helps keep the visitors' attention. Avoid spreading everything out just to fill up your large monitor because this prevents visual flow.
  • If you want to keep your group of text links in the bottom right of the page, you can get a cleaner look by using one text box, single-spaced, right-justified.
  • Your "buy now" links are going to the wrong pages. However, it's not important if you aren't really interested in making any sales. (BTW, you've got a "but now" link!)[li
