PM 18: Number of Fonts - 4/14/2008 6:11:21 PM    ousooner   Posts: 1 Joined: 4/14/2008 Status: offline Does anyone know how many fonts PrintMaster 18 puts in the font folder for Windows? Is there a list of which ones it does install in the Windows font folder? Are the fonts in the Broderbund folder counted by Windows in the total fonts count? I'm curious because I installed PM 18, was freaked out by the number of fonts, and uninstalled it, and did a reinstall of Windows to clean the hard drive. I would like to reinstall PM 18, but I'm concerned about performance issues with the number of fonts that it places on my system. Any suggestions? However, there is no way to select which fonts are installed and which aren't. Most (if not all) PrintMaster 18 fonts are actually installed in Broderbund's Core Fonts folder at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Broderbund\Core Fonts And, these fonts are not counted with the fonts in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. If you will look closely at the C:\Windows\Fonts folder, you will see that most of the Broderbund fonts that are installed there are shortcuts rather than actual font files. So, if you feel there is a need to delete some fonts, just delete the shortcuts. If you are using WinXP or WinVista, you don't need to worry about how many fonts are installed in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder - because only the earlier Operating Systems were limited as to the amount of fonts.
