I can't seem to find an actual list of all the games included in this set. As long as it has Spades, Cribbage, and Pitch/Setback, I'm good to go. Can someone provide a complete list or at least confirm that these three games are in the game? Thanks.

Hi mpb2000,

Since the interface for Hoyle Card Games 2009 is quite different from the interface for the earlier versions of Card Games, it is not possible for me to post an image of a complete list of the games that are included.

For Hoyle Card Games 2009, the games are divided into sections:

Competitive:

*Blackjack
*Cow Game
*Crazy Eights
*Cribbage
*Gin
*Hearts
*Knockout Whist
*Old Maid
*Pitch
*Poker
*President
*Rummy 500
*Skat
*Spite & Malice
*Tarot

Team Games:

*Bridge
*Canasta
*Catch the Ten
*Euchre
*Minnesota Whist
*Pinochle
*Spades
*Team Cow Game
*Whist

Solo Games:

*Memory Match
*Solitaire
*Video Blackjack
*Video Poker

But, as you can see, Spades, Cribbage, and Pitch are included in the program.

Great. One more question: Can you play different versions of pitch, or just cutthroat? I know in 2008, you could only play cutthroat, not partnership scoring. Has this changed for the 2009 version?

Hi mpb2000,

I'm not a Pitch player; so, I don't know the difference between cutthroat and partnership scoring. But, I can tell you that the Pitch game in Hoyle Card Games 2009 offers only these options:

Card Sorting: Ascending or Descending
Winning Score: 7, 11, 21
Skill Level: Easy, Normal, Hard

Cutthroat is when each person plays alone. Partnership scoring is when you and the person across from you work together to score points, so two teams of two instead of four teams of one. Sounds like those are still the same options as 2008, no partner option.

Yup mpb2000,

Since there is no mention in the printed manual of any partner option, and the printed manual says, "All points scored go to the player who scored them," I'd have to say that cutthroat is the only option.
