I have 3D Home Architect and Landcape Version 8.0. I justed ordered version 10. Is that the most updated version. Also Does it have a larger library of home furnishings.

Hi susieq,

I'm afraid I've got some very bad news for you about 3DHA. Even though both versions were released by Encore, version 8 was created by a completely different company than the company that created version 10. So, the two versions are completely different. And, projects you have created in version 8 will not open in version 10.

Does the program work the same as 8 and is there any version that follows 8 that is the same?

Hi susieq,

No, version 9 and version 10 are completely different from version 8. And, Encore does not produce a version of 3DHA which is the same as version 8.

However, since version 8 was actually created by Cadsoft, which also creates other software that is similar to version 8, and which is currently providing assistance for versions 5-8 on their web site at

Cadsoft Customer Forums

you might want to go to that web site and ask them there if any of their newer software will open your 3DHA files.
