My guess would be that that problem is being caused by the fact that the computer is not seeing any monitor action. So, if I were you, the first thing I would do would be to go to Control Panel, select Power Options, then change the 'Turn Off Monitor' setting to 'Never'. Then, click on both 'Apply' and 'OK' to save that setting.
