I have adventure workshop toddler v8, it mostly works, except that by default it appears as a tiny box in the middle of a black screen. It seems to be unable to switch to full screen mode. I can manually change the res to 800x600 and its better, but quite a pain. It appears that the program recommends 640x480, but that mode was removed as a user option in XP SP3.

Are other people seeing this too?

BTW: Its an NVIDIA card, and the drivers are fairly up to date, and other applications can switch to full screen 640x480 just fine (jumpstart products).

Hi jli1010,

One solution to the full screen mode problem is to change the screen resolution of the computer to 800 x 600, then restart the computer and play one game in Reader Rabbit. After one game is played, it should be possible to return the screen resolution to its original screen - without losing the full screen mode.

And, another thought, is in relation to where you said, "It's an NVIDIA card, and the drivers are fairly up to date." In many cases, 'fairly up to date' is not adequate. To achieve the best performance from the video card, you must use the most current driver. And, if you are using an nVidia Geforce video card, it might be a good idea to disable the nView Desktop Management

If any of these suggestions does help to solve your problem, please do post back here and let us know.
