Problem The game crashes when you click on the Create/Edit player option. Solution Your character profile may have become corrupt. This can happen when a game isn't shut down properly. Or, it can happen for any number of other reasons. This is the recommended fix. 1. Double click My Computer (double-click Computer if you are running Vista or Windows 7). 2. Double click C: Drive 3. Double click 'Documents and Settings' (double-click Users if you are running Vista or Windows 7). 4. Double click on your user name. (DO NOT double-click on All Users). 5. Double click on Application Data or (double-click Appdata if you are running Vista or Windows 7). NOTE: Since Application Data and AppData are hidden folders, if you do not see those folders, you will need to set your computer to be able to view them. a. Click on Tools at the top of the window b. Click on Folder Options in the menu that drops down. c. When the new window opens, click on the View tab. d. Scroll down to 'Show hidden files and folders'. Make sure that there is a mark in the circle next to that item. e. Click on Apply. 6. Locate the Hoyle folder and the Hoyle Face Creator folder. 7. Right click on each of these folders then select Delete. NOTE: Deleting these folders will delete all of your Hoyle Bucks, Purchases and Face Creator settings. 8. Empty your recycle bin, close all windows and programs and restart your computer. 9. Restart Hoyle Casino 2009 and create a new character.
