Error: Visual C++ Runtime Error 2005 - 12/30/2009 7:31:18 PM    Brandy redux Posts: 2376 Joined: 2/7/2007 Status: offline PROBLEM C++ Runtime Error SOLUTION While using the program, the message "C++ runtime error" appears. There are many possible causes of this error. Troubleshooting various system-related possibilities will help to identify the source of the issue. The procedures are presented in the remainder of this note. Consider the following information when attempting to resolve this issue. Complete the following steps to download the Microsoft® C++ Library Files: Close the program if needed. You may need one of three updates depending on the age of the game For the 2005 redistributable go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=32BC1BEE-A3F9-4C13-9C99-220B62A191EE&displaylang=en For the 2008 redistributable go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&displaylang=en For the 2010 redistributable go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=A7B7A05E-6DE6-4D3A-A423-37BF0912DB84&displaylang=en Read the information that is presented and follow the on-screen prompts to download the update. Restart the computer and launch the program. NOTE: Continue with the following procedure if the issue remains. You may also need to Update your Drivers Download and install updated versions of the printer, sound and video drivers.
