When I play the game and click on the "exchange" button I get a error that says Image Expected (member 80 of CastLib 10) Script error Continue?
If I click yes it goes back to the game, but the message reappears soon as I click the next button
I have already deleted the saved game file 2x and re-installed the game without success.

I am running the game on a HP duron 900mhx laptop with 512 ram and DirectX 8

Hi millster,

If you were actually experiencing another Director Player error, you should be able to fix that problem by clicking on this link

"Script Error Handler not defined" or "Macromedia Director Player" Error

then following the instructions in that pinned item.

However, as you will see in that pinned item, the only recommended solution is to change the colors to 16 bit and reduce the screen resolution to 800 x 600.

I know for a fact that that solution is not required for a 32-bit version of Vista - because I am running Scrabble Journey on a 32-bit version of Vista with colors set to 32-bit and resolution set to 1280 x 800.

The one most important fact that you did not provide in your message is which Operating System you are using - and whether that Operating System is a 32-bit Operating System or a 64-bit Operating System.

As can be seen in this pinned item

Scrabble Journey: Minimum System Requirements

the Minimum System Requirements for Scrabble Journey include only the following Operating Systems:

Windows® XP (Home & Pro) SP2/Vista™¹

And, I have confirmed that Scrabble Journey can be installed on a 32-bit version of Windows 7. But, if you are trying to run Scrabble Journey on any other Operating System, that's probably not going to work.

The one most important fact to keep in mind is that Scrabble Journey was designed for only 32-bit Operating Systems. So, there is no guarantee that Scrabble Journey will run correctly on a 64-bit Operating System.

If you don't know which Operating System or which version you are using, go to Control Panel, select System. When the System window opens, look for the name of the Operating System {i.e. Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, etc.). Then, look in the 'System Type' section for something which says either 32-bit Operating System or 64-bit Operating System. If you don't see any reference to 32-bit or 64-bit, that would indicate that your Operating System is a 32-bit version.

Another thing to note is the fact that the Minimum System Requirements include the requirement for a video card with 32 MB of video RAM for Vista (this would also apply to Windows 7). So, you will need to verify that the video card on your HP duron 900mhx laptop has 32 MB of video ram (VRAM).

And, last, but most certainly not least, if you haven't done so recently, you will definitely want to click on this link

Updating Video Card Driver: 2000/XP/Vista/7/Mac OS X 10.4.0 and later

then follow the directions in that FAQ for updating your video card driver.

If these suggestions do not help to point to a solution to your problem, I am aware of no other suggestions to make about your problem. However, since Technical Support is still being provided for Scrabble Journey, you could click on this link

Technical Support & Customer Service: Broderbund, Encore, Hoyle, Bicycle

then follow the directions in that FAQ for contacting Encore Technical Support.

then follow the directions in that FAQ for thoroughly uninstalling the program which generated the Director Player error message

2. Click on this link

then follow the directions in that FAQ for performing a computer cleanup

3. Click on this link

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

then follow the directions in that FAQ for reinstalling the program which generated the Director Player error message

4. Go to this web site

Microsoft DirectX

5. Download and install the latest version of DirectX

PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THIS LAST STEP
