Hello there,

Is there a way to make CAC 3 run under a limited user account? I have re-installed a friends computer because of virus's/ spyware. They were running everything as the admin account. So I renamed the admin account to install, then installed CAC under the install account. When I try to run CAC 3 under the limited account it bombs out. I even tried giving everyone full rights to the CAC directory / and the registry entries but that doesn't seem to work. I really don't want to do a run as, but I suppose I could if that is the only option.

Any ideas? '

Thanks

Sorry dewmanstl,

But, many older software applications such as CAC 3 were designed to run only when the user had full rights. So, if giving the user full rights to the CAC directory doesn't solve the problem, the only other option might be to do a run as. I don't know if this would make any difference; but, you could try running CAC 3 in Win98 compatibility mode.
