   | If, after trying to start any software application, you receive an error message which says this: {the program name} has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
that error message is an indicator that the installation of the software may have become corrupt.

If restarting the computer does not solve the problem, the recommended solution for removing the corruption is to perform A) a thorough uninstall, B) a computer cleanup & C) a 'clean' reinstall, as is described in Steps A thru C below.

 A. Click on the link below

 http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=27430

to access the "Uninstalling Software: Thoroughly & Safely" FAQ, then follow the directions in that FAQ.

To make sure that all remnants of the program have been removed, it is VERY important to follow ALL directions in that FAQ for searching the hard drive. It is also VERY important to keep in mind that the registry should NOT be edited manually to remove remnants of the program. Instead, the registry should be cleaned ONLY by performing Step #4 in the "Computer Cleanup on WinXP & WinVista" FAQ recommended below.

 B. Click on the link below

to access the "Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7" FAQ, then follow the directions in that FAQ.

To make sure that all problems have been found, it is VERY important to perform ALL 7 steps. It is also very important to NOT perform any procedures that are not recommended in this FAQ.

 C. Click on the link below

to access the "'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7" FAQ, then follow the directions in that FAQ.
