I use MS Vista x86. After installing and registering, I attempted to run the program. I received an error message indicating I would need to, first, start the program as Administrator. I have never needed to start any program as an administrator and I am the only user.
I have no Administrator password. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Hi dburdick,

NOTE: All Windows computers have a built-in (hidden) Administrator account. But, in Windows 7 and Vista, it’s not enabled, so you can’t use it. Instead, the Administrator accounts which are required to install software and perform computer maintenance are the Administrator accounts that are created in Control Panel | User Accounts.

Administrator accounts which are created in Control Panel | User Accounts do not always have Administrator passwords - especially when there is only one user.

However, if you are actually the only user, you should be an Administrator - because 1) every Windows computer should have at least one Administrator account which was created in Control Panel | User Accounts and 2) any user who is not an Administrator should NEVER install software on a Windows computer.

So, the first thing that I would advise you to do is this:

A. If you don't know your user name, click on 'Start'. Then, look for your user name at the top or bottom of the Start menu.

B. Go to 'Control Panel' then open 'User Accounts'.

C. When the 'User Accounts' window opens, look under your user name.

If you DO NOT see the word 'Administrator' under your user name, check the other user names in User Accounts, find a user name that is listed as being an Administrator, then either try to log onto the computer with that Administrator account or contact the user who is associated with that Administrator account and ask that user for assistance.

If you DO see the word 'Administrator' under your user name, that would indicate that you are actually an Administrator. And, that would indicate that your ClickArt 400K installation might be corrupt. The recommended solution for a corrupt installation is to click on the link below

then follow ALL of the directions in that FAQ.
