In 18.1, your projects will print the same as they did with 17. Nothing beyond the dotted boundary prints. The boundary can only be made smaller if your printer has the capability to print closer to the edge. To change the margins, go to the printer settings. When you select print, choose setup, properties and effects. Right there big as life is a box to choose Minimize Margins! Don't know if all printers have this, but mine does and it works.
