I don't know if this topic fits here but I have MB 25th -- I am at the junction between beginner and intermediate the program tells me welcome to intermediate level and then takes me right back to the last beginner lesson on Capitals using left shift -- has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix or work around it? I tried to email a question to Tech Support at the company but could never get to the right screen -- is this something I should just address with them? and is there a phone number? thank you for your help

Hi BarbaraJM6,

As to where you said this:

"I tried to email a question to Tech Support at the company but could never get to the right screen -- is this something I should just address with them?"

The recommended method for contacting Technical Support can be found in this FAQ

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=24071

However, since the problem you are experiencing is a functionality (how-to or how-does-it-work) problem and since Technical Support provides assistance for only those problems related to installing/uninstalling, error messages or problems that are stopping you from running the program, Technical Support might not agree to help you.

As to where you said this:

"I am at the junction between beginner and intermediate the program tells me welcome to intermediate level and then takes me right back to the last beginner lesson on Capitals using left shift."

Since you are the first person to report this problem, and since I proceeded from Beginner level to Intermediate level in the normal manner, the most likely explanation is that either you are mistaken about what you are seeing or you have not yet successfully completed the lesson on Capitals using left shirt.

So, the first thing that I would recommend is that you perform the lesson on Capitals using left shift again - just to see if you will be taken to the next step after successfully completing that lesson. If you are not taken to the next step - after confirming that you have successfully completed that lesson - then you should contact Technical Support.

My daughter is having a similar problem, where she was allowed to progress to intermediate; however, she can only do the first two lessons of the intermediate before it kicks her back to the first intermediate lesson. She does the first two lessons, takes the quiz, get's the "Good Job" message...but then it takes her straight back to the welcome message for the intermediate level and the exact lessons she just accomplished. This is a persistent problem that she is not able to get past with both her and I attempting to move on in the program.

We are running MB Teaches Typing Deluxe 25th Anniversary Edition on a Win7 64-bit computer that is fully up to date.

Sam

Hi Sam,

Since those of us who help on this user-to-user forum are only volunteers, who are neither employed by nor connected with either Customer Service or Technical Support, we do not have access to technical documents regarding problems with the software. So, your only option, I'm afraid, is to click on the link below

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=24071

then follow the directions in that FAQ for contacting Technical Support.
