Hi John, The reason why Compatibility Mode did not initially include Windows 7 was because you were installing Print Shop 23.1 on Windows 7. The only purpose of Compatibility Mode is to select an older Operating System when the program you are installing is not completely compatible with the Operating System on which you are installing the software. When the program you are installing is compatible with the Operating System on which it is being installed, there is no need to use Compatibility Mode. If you will click on the link below http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=37888 you will see in that "PS 23: Installing Print Shop 23 & 23.1 on Window 7" pinned item that it is possible to successfully install Print Shop 23.1 on even a 64-bit version of Windows 7 - without the use of Compatibility Mode. So, it is quite possible that the problems you were experiencing were being caused by Compatibility Mode. And, if you will take a close look at the error message which is commonly experienced when installing Print Shop 23.1 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, and which is noted in the "PS 23: Installing Print Shop 23 & 23.1 on Window 7" pinned item mentioned above, you will see that, as I mentioned in an earlier reply, the compatibility problem is related to .NET Framework 1.1. And, the recommended method for dealing with that compatibility problem is to simply select "Run Program" then continue with the installation.
