copy PM 7 Platinum addresss book to external drive - 11/11/2013 2:46:01 PM    dsj113   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/11/2013 Status: offline I am trying to copy my PM 7 Platinum address book to an external hard drive prior to uninstalling/reinstalling the program. The software provides for importing address books but not for exporting them. After previous reinstalls I have had to recreate the address book. A file extension of abk may be involved somehow but was of no help to me in locating the addresss book. Help anyone? Post #: 1

The information you sent does not apply to my question. However, when continuing my research I found that it is not necessary to back up the address book separately because it is automatically saved when PrintMaster projects are saved. This just emphasizes the wisdom of saving work to an external backup drive regularly in case of a computer crash. (in reply to JasonC) Post #: 3

I think the ABK file is stored in a PrintMaster subfolder. So if you uninstall PrintMaster, you will lose the ABK file. It's very important that you copy it to another location unaffected by uninstalling PrintMaster.
