I can see the footer in print preview but it doesn't show up on the view screen and I can't find it to edit it. I've edited it before but now it's gone.

Do you mean the text box that says, "Printed by Calendar Creator for Windows on..."? If you can't see it, perhaps changing your screen resolution will help, so that you can scroll all the way to the bottom. Resolutions that are set for wide screen, tend to cut off the bottom part of the display.

Try 1600x1200.

No, it's not the Printed by Calendar Creator message. It's an actual footer. If I go to layout, view properties, objects, it's on the list. I click on footer, the visible box is checked, and it has the location parameters. That's how I can see it on the print preview and it appears when printed to paper. Only problem is that I need to edit it and I can't find it. I've been using this program since the first DOS version all those years ago so it's frustrating for me to encounter this kind of problem.

On my calendar, that footer is, by default, the Printed by Calendar Creator message. On my screen capture, you can see the XY position. That's where I find it. You can also see a box to check for deletion. I tried that and sure enough, that got rid of my footer.

So you can delete it this way and just add a new text box at the bottom, with new words, UNLESS your screen resolution doesn't let you scroll down that far.

Do check the XY position and see if you can scroll down that far. Like I said, it could be the screen resolution you currently have selected.

Bobbim10, can you see the border of the calendar grid object near the bottom of the screen, above where the footer should appear, or do you see only the bottom of the Calendar Creator window? You should see a space between the calendar grid border, a double line, and the bottom of the program's frame, a single line. If you see that gap, do what ellengard suggested: try to create a new text object in that space. If you see the text box, and not the footer, then there may be something in the properties of the footer that went wrong or was changed unintentionally, and we could try to help troubleshoot.

Also test Print Preview with the change and see which objects show.
