Please give more details. You started with a quarter-fold template, but want to change your design to:

one double-sided card, that when folded is 5.5 x 8.5?
or
two double-sided cards on one sheet, that when folded, they are 4.25 x 5.5?


Both of these options can be considered half-fold cards, just different size.

Have you tried this? Under the Edit command, you can change a project's type and size. I found this to work perfectly, converting one of the ready-made quarter-fold cards, into a double-sided half-fold card (the bigger size one). Because the proportions of the card changes, I did have to reposition some elements that were too close to the edge.
