Does anyone know if this program works with Win 8.1 64 bit.
When I click on the capture button the entire screen goes black with the red cross hairs only visible - the entire area
I want to capture disappears.

Hello Skip,

I just installed Screen Shot 9 on Windows 8.1 and it was working like it should. See the result below. If you are having issues with a black screen, try updating your video card drivers and see if it helps.

The program should still work even though the screen dims. Hold down the left mouse button and try dragging across to the area of the screen you want to capture and see if you can see the desktop in the background.
