Issue: When launching a product, you may receive an error message that says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)" Solution: This issue is very common under Windows 8.1 64 bit. A registry edit fix may solve that issue. Please take caution in editing the registry and do not edit if you don't feel comfortable with doing so. Always create a restore point before trying this. For information on setting a restore point in Windows 8.1 please see the following link: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-create-restore-points-in-windows-81.html Steps: 1. Hold down the Windows key and press R. Type Regedit. 2. In the registry browse to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows 3. Find a section in the registry called "APPINIT_DLLS" and delete that registry entry. 4. Exit the registry editor and restart your computer.
