I noticed a few old posts regarding blurry printing of cropped graphics and headlines..that was years ago and I'm having that problem now. Has it been fixed or is there anything I can do before I apply for a refund?

I only notice blurriness on the screen, not the print.

unfortunately it's when I print as well. Whether I save as PDF, jpeg, or simply print the project from the program it's blurry.

Blurry printing is a deal-breaker. If you have printed from other programs to verify that the problem is not with the printer, then a refund or exchange is in order. You may be interested in PagePlus, available from Encore/Broderbund. It's an excellent desktop publishing program, IMO.
