When attempting to open Print Shop 4.0 a message is displayed: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. This message is displayed when the program has not had time to completely close the programs processes.

After closing the program do not try to reopen it immediately. Instead, wait for a couple of minutes to allow it time for all Print Shop processes to close.

If allowing all processes to close does not resolve the error please use the following steps to
end the programs processes.

Windows 7 & Vista:
1. Open Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar, and then clicking Start Task Manager.
2. Click the Processes Tab.
3. Scroll through the list to find PrintShop.exe.*32.
4. Click on PrintShop.exe.*32 to highlight the process.
5. Click on End Process.
6. Click End Process on the confirmation box: Do you want to PrintShop.exe.*32?
7. Close the Task Manager. Open the program.

Window 8, 8.1 and 10:
1. Open Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar, and then clicking Start Task Manager.
2. Click the “More details” button, click the Processes Tab.
3. Scroll through the list to find PrintShop.exe.*32.
4. Click on PrintShop.exe.*32 to highlight the process.
5. Click on End Task.
6. Click End Task on the confirmation box: Do you want to PrintShop.exe.*32?
7. Close the Task Manager. Open the program.
