With the deadline approaching to upgrade to Windows 10, here is a compatibility list useful for upgrading purposes:
The following post is a list of programs that are known to work in Windows 10.
Works with Windows 10:
Print Shop 4.0 Deluxe
Print Shop 4.0 Professional
Print Shop 3.5 Deluxe *
Print Shop 3.5 Professional *
*: Requires latest patch to 3.5.5 for the Content Gallery to function
PrintMaster Platinum v7 (Requires latest patch after install to solve a administrator launch issue)
PrintMaster Platinum v6 (Requires latest patch after install for optimal printing performance)
The following list below can work on Windows 10 but require special workarounds:
Print Shop 23.1 (Requires installation of an old version of Net Framework 1.1, may require use of Dot Net Framework Cleanup Tool in order to properly install)
PrintMaster Platinum 2012 (Requires installation of older Microsoft components, may require additional troubleshooting and a clean install if unsuccessful the first time)
Print Shop 3.0 Deluxe / Professional (Latest patch is strongly recommended for decent performance, program is not guaranteed to work correctly due to updates from Microsoft Windows Update)
If you're looking for a program to open up older PrintMaster / Print Shop files, Print Shop 23.1 is certainly an option to look at but as described above, Windows Update can break compatibility with these older programs at any time and will require an uninstall, use of cleanup tool, and a reinstall of the older program.
